This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect about you in our stores, through the Site, and anywhere else we interact with you.
Your Consent to this Policy. By using the Site or Services (as defined below), you expressly consent to the collection, use and sharing of your personal information as described in this Policy. Your use of our Services and any dispute over privacy, is subject to this Policy and our Terms and Conditions, available at https://lightmakers.myshopline.com/pages/terms-of-service, including their applicable terms governing limitations on damages and the resolution of disputes.
Personal Information We Collect. We collect the following categories and types of personal information:
- Contact Information: your first and last name, company name, postal address, email address, and phone number;
- Other identifying information: IP address, passwords and other security information for authentication and access, social media usernames, and cookie identifiers;
- Purchase Information: payment type, payment card details, billing, shipping address, purchasing information, such as details of SKUs and products purchased;
- Financial Information: credit card, debit card and bank account information when purchasing products from us;
- Demographic Information: gender and age;
- Internet or other electronic activity: your browsing and click history, including information about how you navigate within the Site;
- Professional information: account and profile information, company or professional-related;

Why We Collect Personal Information. We may use or may have used the personal information we have about you in the following ways:
- Transactional Purposes: We use your contact information, financial information, and commercial information to:

How We Collect Personal Information. We may collect or may have collected personal information about you from various sources.
- We collect information directly from you: We collect contact and demographic information directly from you. We also collect payment information from you.
- From your friends or family members: We may collect contact information from your friends or family members when they tag you on a post to one of our social media pages or when referring you to access or use our Services.
- Chat Logs: chat interactions with our service team when using our chat function.

Combining Information. We may combine information you give us online or in our stores. We may also combine that information with publicly available information and information we receive from or cross-reference with our business partners and service providers. We use that combined information to enhance and personalize your shopping experience with us, to communicate with you directly about our products and events that may be of interest to you, and for other promotional and commercial purposes.
With Whom We Share Your Personal Information. In general, we do not share personal information about you with third parties for such third-parties’ own marketing or advertising purposes. We do share personal information with third parties for other purposes. For example, we share personal information with:
- Our Service Providers: We may contract with companies or persons to provide certain services including credit card processing, shipping, data analysis and management, promotional services, order fulfilment facilitators etc. We call them our Service Providers. We provide our Service Providers with the information needed for them to perform these services. We also ask our Service Providers to confirm that their privacy practices are consistent with ours.
- Our Affiliates: We may share personal information with businesses controlling, controlled by, or under common control with Light Makers.
- Other Light Makers Users: With other users of the Services in the context of specific features that are social in nature. For example, if you invite others to use our Services, or if you submit or make available information through our public-facing, interactive features, community forums, or discussion blogs, including when you post reviews or testimonials, certain personal information, may be available to, and searchable by, other users of the Services.
- Third Party Marketing and Analytics Providers. We may also disclose your personal information, such as device and browsing, and activities and usage information, to third party marketing and data analytics providers, and other companies who provide marketing, advertising, campaign management, or analytics services on our behalf.

Aggregate and/or Deidentified Data. Notwithstanding anything else described in this Policy, we may use and disclose aggregate, deidentified, and other non-identifiable data related to our business and the Services for quality control, analytics, research, development and other purposes. Where we use, disclose or process deidentified data (data that is no longer reasonably linked or linkable to an identified or identifiable natural person, household, or personal or household device) we will maintain and use the information in deidentified form and not to attempt to reidentify the information, except in order to determine whether our deidentification processes are reasonable and adequate pursuant to applicable privacy laws.
Why We Use Cookies and Tracking Technologies. Third-party cookies are cookies that are set by a domain other than that of the website being visited by the user. For example, if a user visits the digital services and another entity sets a cookie through our website, this would be a third-party cookie.
- Persistent cookies: These cookies remain on a user’s device for the period of time specified in the cookie. They are activated each time the user visits the website that created the particular cookie.
- Session cookies: These cookies allow website operators to link the actions of a user during a browser session. A session starts when a user opens the browser and ends when they close the browser. Session cookies are temporary, so all session cookies are deleted when the user closes the browser.
Opting Out of Mailings. The Site provides you with several opportunities to agree to receive communications from Light Makers, and any of our affiliated brands or divisions. We may send periodic promotional emails or other similar communications to you. You may opt-out of these communications by following the instructions provided to you in the communication. If at any time you wish to stop receiving communications from us please send us an email to support@lightmakers.com.sg with the phrase “Privacy Opt-out: Light Makers Mailings'' in the subject line, or write to us at the address provided below, and we will remove you from our mailing list. Alternatively, for e-mail communications, you may opt out of receiving such communications by following the unsubscribe instructions set forth at the bottom of our promotional e-mail messages.
Storing of Personal Data. Light Makers stores personal data as long as is necessary for implementing the purposes defined in this Policy. However, valid legislation, such as accounting laws or other exigent legislation, may require the storage of personal data even after the purpose of processing has expired. In such situations, storage times defined in applicable legislation shall apply.
Customer’s Rights and Ways of Influencing the Processing. We are committed to protecting the privacy of customers and users of online services and their rights defined in data protection legislation. Listed below are the customers' most important rights and ways of influencing the processing of personal data:
- The customer has a right to inspect their own personal data and to demand the correction of erroneous information.
- The customer has a right to request the deletion of their personal data to the extent that other legislation allows it.
- The customer has a right to transfer certain personal data about themselves to another keeper of a register.

Any access to and use of such linked websites, features, or third-party connections or integrated services is not governed by this Policy, but instead is governed by the privacy policies of those third parties. We are not responsible for the information practices of such third parties, including their collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information. You should review the privacy policies and terms for any third parties before proceeding to those websites or using those features or third-party connections or integrated services.
User Generated Content. We may offer public-facing interactive features, community forums, or discussion blogs in connection with our Services that enable you to share information about the Services, or other issues of interest (e.g., product reviews, testimonials, and questions). You should be aware that any communications you submit or post to any such interactive features on the Services may be viewable and searchable by others, including Light Makers users and the public. By submitting or posting to such public-facing, interactive features you acknowledge that you have no expectation of privacy or confidentiality in the content you submit for such features, whether or not it contains personal information about you.
Sensitive Personal Information. We do not collect, use, or disclose “sensitive personal information” beyond the purposes outlined in this Policy. Accordingly, we only use and disclose sensitive personal information as reasonably necessary and proportionate: (i) to perform our services requested by you; (ii) to help ensure security and integrity, including to prevent, detect, and investigate security incidents; (iii) to detect, prevent and respond to malicious, fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal conduct; (iv) to verify or maintain the quality and safety of our services; (v) for compliance with our legal obligations; (vi) to our service providers who perform services on our behalf; and (vii) for purposes other than inferring characteristics about you
Retention. We retain the personal information we collect only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above or otherwise disclosed to you at the time of collection. For example, we will retain your account information for as long as you have an active account with us and additional information as necessary to comply with our tax, accounting and record keeping obligations, to provide you with the services you have requested, as well as an additional period of time as necessary to protect, defend or establish our rights, defend against potential claims, and comply with our legal obligations.
Sales and Sharing of Personal Information. “Sale” as disclosing or making available personal information to a third-party in exchange for monetary or other valuable consideration, and “sharing” includes disclosing or making available personal information to a third-party for purposes of cross-context behavioral advertising. While we do sell nor disclose personal information to third parties in exchange for monetary compensation, we may “share” the following categories of personal information: identifiers, Internet and network activity information, and commercial information. Notice of Financial Incentive. With respect to some of our Services, Light Makers may make available certain programs or offerings, and other sweepstakes, contests, or similar promotional offerings (each a “Program”) which may include certain offers, rewards, discounts, services, perks and promotions (“Rewards and Offers”). These Programs may be considered as “financial incentives” under certain laws. As described below, Light Makers collects, discloses, and retains personal information about participating customers as part of these Programs.
- Membership Rewards Program: Customers may join the Light Makers Membership Rewards Program to earn points on every dollar spent towards discounts on future purchases. Participants can earn rewards for qualifying purchases and may be able to access other Rewards and Offers, such as vouchers or excusive discounts. To enroll in the Membership Rewards Program, you must create a free Light Makers account or log in and sign up in “My Account”. This Program requires you to provide us with personal information, which may include identifiers (i.e., name, email, address, username, and other similar contact information) and certain commercial information (i.e., purchasing history). - Other Programs: We may also provide other Programs, including lucky draw, contests and other promotional offerings or incentives. For example, we may make available Rewards and Offers to customers that participate in one of our customer satisfaction or market research surveys or requests for feedback. To participate in such a program, you must register and provide us with certain personal information, which may include identifiers (i.e., name, email, address, and other similar contact information), and any feedback or responses. Some of these programs may be administered by third party partners who may collect or receive your personal information to administer the Program and provide related services to us.
We provide these Rewards and Offers to participating customers in order to understand and improve customer satisfaction and experiences, and to foster positive customer relationships. As a basis for offering these Rewards and Offers, we have valued the personal information we obtain based on a reasonable and good faith calculation determined by considering expenses related to the programs. In doing so, we value the personal information collected through the programs as the equivalent of the costs and expenses incurred to provide the program, including IT, administration, direct costs, third party costs, discounts, and service development costs.
Your personal information is collected and retained, and may be disclosed to Light Makers’ business partners, vendors and service providers, and other third parties, as described in this Policy, including in order (i) to administer the program, (ii) for research and analytics purposes, (iii) to improve our products and services, (iv) to better reach you with more relevant, targeted offers, and (v) to send you Light Makers news, updates and offers by email, postal mail, and text message (in accordance with your communications preferences).
You may withdraw from participating in a program at any time by contacting us at support@lightmakers.com.sg. Please note that if you withdraw from a program (or submit a CCPA request to delete your program information), your participation in that program will be terminated, which means that you will no longer be eligible to earn, use, access or redeem any program Rewards and Offers, subject to the applicable program terms.
International Customer Privacy. If you choose to provide Light Makers with your information, you consent to the transfer and storage of that information on our servers located in Singapore.
Security. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the confidentiality and security of personal information transmitted to us. Unfortunately, however, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, to the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee or warrant the security of any personal information you transmit to or from the Site, and you do so at your own risk.
We have implemented reasonable precautions aimed to protect the information we collect from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Please be aware that despite our best efforts, no data security measures can guarantee security. Updates to this Policy. Light Makers reserves the right to update this privacy policy due to things such as the development of services or exigent legislation. This Policy may be updated periodically and without prior notice to you to reflect changes in our personal information practices. You should review this Policy periodically so that you keep up to date on our most current policies and practices. We will post a prominent notice on the Site to notify you of any significant changes to our privacy practices and indicate at the top of the Policy when it was last updated.
